Set in the heart of the East Clare Lakelands, in a beautiful and unspoilt corner of the west of Ireland, it is a landscape of gentle hills, picturesque valleys surrounded by lakes, rivers, woodlands and bogs.

Bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the West, Lough Derg to the East, and the River Shannon to the South, these natural boundaries are part of the reason it has remained so unspoilt and which gives Clare a flavour of it's own. Whilst not on the Wild Atlantic Way our house makes an excellent base to explore the Clare part of the Route.

There are 40 other lakes within a 10 mile radius and we offer free use of our rowing boat to our guests. We are ideally situated, near Feakle, in the midst of the East Clare Walkway with the Clondanagh Lake Loop Walk running by our front door. As well as fishing County Clare is a great area for walking, bird watching, kayaking, bicycling and all outdoor activities. We are Pet Friendly here at Clondanagh Cottage; just ask when booking so that we are sure that we can accomodate your pet.

Clondanagh Cottage offers an excellent standard of accommodation for the visitor. . Outdoors, guests have full access to thegardens - front and rear, with stunning views over the open countryside. There is a large paved courtyard with Barbeque facilities and a south facing sundeck, overlooking Clondanagh lake - as an optional dining area. Feakle and Tulla both offer local facilities like shops, restaurants and pubs etc.
